WARMTH
WARMTH
What is WARMTH?
WARMTH stands for: West African Resilience in Mothers and Thriving Healthy children Study
Why did we start WARMTH?
This study looks at how West African mothers define success and how their ideas shape their children's health and achievements in the U.S. We will use this knowledge to develop a computer program that analyzes social media posts to see if these ideas apply to a broader audience.
Black immigrant families are often left out of research, even though they make up a growing part of the U.S. population. We also know that when mothers face hardships, it can have a big impact on their families. That’s why this study focuses on the strengths of West African mothers, exploring how they define success and how their views influence their children's well-being.
